This is the new fountain at the Double Tree
When I first went to the Claremont Inn I could tell immediately that it was an excellent hotel, at some point, long long ago. By the time I first laid eyes on it, it was both figuratively and literally falling apart. The tile in the bathroom floor were coming off, the entire place needed a paint job, and the entire hotel was in sad, sad shape. They did the only respectable thing that they could have done, which was to sell out. Thankfully to the Double Tree which is a division of Hilton Hotels. They in turn reinvested into the property and made it once again a glorious property. It is now perhaps the nicest hotel in the area giving the competitors such as the Mission Inn a run for it's money. The Inland Empire is in need of above average to upscale places for wedding receptions, and thankfully with the Mission Inn, The Double Tree and Guaiti Village, it's now starting to happen.
This place will appeal to the upper middle class bridal couple who wants a nice hotel, and an excellent venue for their wedding.
The grounds are nice, though as was the case with our most recent bride to use this property for her reception, she elected to rent one of the local colleges for two hours for a nice, green backdrop for her images.
Aside from a lack of abundance of great open areas with greenery, the only other distraction was that the room was packed in a little too tight with tables. Also, another wedding reception took place in the room right next door. Not that this really is a problem, but some brides don't want the potential to see other brides on their wedding day.
It's an above average property, with a fresh new look, great service, and a nice location in the city of Claremont. It's not a five star hotel, but for what it is, it's very, very nice. If you are planning an Inland Empire wedding, check this place out!
The room is nice, standard for what you would find at a Hilton Hotel property.
Image right was taken on site, we had to work to make sure the parking lot wasn't in the background. The images below were taken at a University two blocks away. Note: A photographer has to prove liability insurance before the bride was able to rent the facility.
