On The Cover

Cover Image

Well, this was the previous cover, nice but we've moved on . Interesting story however, check it out!

This magic moment took place at Ponte Winery in Temecula California one gorgeous spring day.  This stunning couple were easy to work with.  We had a brief photo session after the ceremony, and with a few minutes before the reception started  we were able to grab this image.   Just at the right moment a gust of wind came along and blew the brides veil.

It's never easy to find the right image to start off a website.  This image seemed to be a natural fit for what we were about.  Yet there was some empty blue sky and thus we decided to pose a question.  In an era where digital cameras seem to propel normal everyday people into the realm of professional photographer, and everybody has a great digital camera, the question remains, what are you really left with after the wedding?   If great photos were as simple as owning a good camera, then wedding photography would be the least expensive thing in your budget.

Most photographers would have simply let the bride and groom line up for the reception, and shot picture after picture of the bride and groom waiting around.  It takes vision to grab people, find a spot, and create the opportunity to to make a great image come to life.  This photo session lasted very briefly, and quickly the couple was handed over to the DJ for the grand entrance.   No long photo sessions, no guests waiting.  It doesn't take much to make a great photo moment happen, just vision, skill, and experience. This image has not been modified in Photoshop.   This is how it came out of the camera with the exception of the text in the corner.

We would like to thank Erik and Jacqueline Pullen for allowing us to cover their wedding and congratulate them on being selected for the website cover.
