Southern California Wedding Vendors

Your wedding is in the hands of many vendors who will hopefully do what they say, in a timely basis.   Many of the nightmare wedding stories revolve around vendors failing miserably to live up to some minimal expectations and  this effects the overall day.  Sure you can find many websites with many vendors listed, but, who are they and can you trust them?

Over the years we’ve have the privilege to work with many great vendors, and one thing we’ve noticed is that we tend to see the same faces over and over again.  This means that other people like you have evaluated their goods and services and hired them.   We don’t investigate them too deeply other than to say that if people keep hiring them, they must be doing something right!

We’re proud to offer you our new Southern California vendor referral program.   We can assure you that we do not take or give referral fees, or sell ad space on this website to list these vendors.  The vendors get ranked higher when we work with them more often.  Higher rankings have nothing to do with the quality of the vendors services, nor does it  mean we endorse them.  It simply means we have seen them more often.  On the flip side, if you’ve had a bad experience with any vendor listed please let us know.

The Platinum Level

Since Lifetime Images has been around for over ten years we’ve gotten to work with many great vendors. The Platinum level represents those vendors we’ve developed a great working relationship with over the years.   We have faith in these vendors.  They are about as close as we will come to endorsing any vendor.

Videography

Plug Video                                  Locations Served: Southern California, available for travel                           Price Range: $1595-$2995

Description:  We have a very tight working relationship with Plugvideo.com    People often mistake us for working for the same company at weddings.  What we do for photography, they do for video.  They are amazing videographers, and simply charge too little for the service they provide.  Aside from being associates we are also good friends.  Please do consider them for your wedding!

Mobile DJ's

Station Identification- (800)  850-3472   714-9554133  3512 W. Mall Place  Anaheim, CA  92804  www.stationidentification.com  robert@stationidentification.net

In the era of Ipods loaded with music who needs a good DJ anymore?  Think about it, your cousin can spin the tunes with two IPods, a mic and and PA system.   But then again, I've seen groups of people flee a reception like it was on fire.  Most wedding receptions have a mix of  20 somethings and 50+ year  old  people.    There is usually 20 years difference between them. The younger crowd is usualy the first to give up a wedding reception.  They've been known to start text messaging each other to leave and meet up at a bar.  Working with a diverse aged crowd isn't as easy as it may seem.    Lifetime Images has had the privilidge to work with Station Identification for a number of events over the years.   Fun, lively, and yet personable.  Robert Poff and his crew really work hard to make a memorable event.  They know how to make everybody happy.  We highly recommend them.

Florists

Shannon G's                               Locations Served: Southern California                                                        Price Range:  Starting at $500

Description:  Shannon has started her business a couple of years ago with a nice store front shop in Whittier.  She's been great at referring her friends and clients to us.  I love Shannon and her mom!  She has had some very picky, demanding clients and she can handle them with ease.  Very nice people!

Finishing Touch Wedding Design    Locations Served:  Southern California                                                Price Range: Not Specified

Description:   Brandi is in a different league than  a lot of florists I've met.   She seems to specialize in upper middle class to upper class weddings.  Honestly, if you're looking for someone to cut you a quick deal on some flowers, don't bother calling her.   If you are having a very tasteful affair and want someone who is used to putting together higher end events, she is the right person to call.   It's probably fair to say that she is more like a floral stylist than simply a florist.  She is full of great ideas, and has a great personality.

La Tulipe Floral Designs              Locations Served: Southern California                                               Price Range:  Call for more information

Description:  It's important that you find a florist who really knows her stuff.  Annie is like a walking encyclopedia when it comes to flowers.  Located at a store front in Laguna Beach  Annie is an exceptional florist.   Give her a call, or go by and check her out!

Catering-

Bob Hathaway- This is a bit of a strange story.  Bob Hathaway went to culinary school.  He's an amazing chef.   And, to pay the bills he owns a pizza restaurant in Fullerton.    So, when I tell you that there is an amazing chef who owns a pizza restaurant in Fullerton and you should consider using him for your wedding, please understand, I am not smoking crack!    What he does for his clients is makes a really nice evening out of a food tasting.   This guy knows food.  He's also a super cool guy.  I highly recommend Bobby Hathaway.  Also, both he and his dad used us for wedding photography.

Cathi Singh

Cathi Singh-951-318-2030-  I worked with this gal at Bobbie's wedding.   She uses Smashbox and is one of the best prepared makeup artists I've ever seen.   She had this sheet of paper that had a diagram of a person's face and she wrote everything up about what she was going to bring and use. Bobbie was the bride (yes with an e on her name).  Bobbie is a makeup artist herself so she knows what's up.  If she hired Cathi to do her makeup, then you know she's good!   www.cathisingh.com

The Bronze Level

These are vendors we haven’t work with before.  They have chosen to be listed on our site. When we work with them, and they do a good job, they will get to different levels.  You can help them out.  You can elevate them to the next level.    Yet, people are depending on you  so check em out carefully!

Other Vendors

Here's something that I could use your help with.  I am trying to create a resource list of unique vendors, perhaps vendors that are harder to find than normal.   If you have any suggestions, please let us know.  Vendors are listed free of charge and are asked for nothing in return.

Batavia Strings-714-746-3450-  This is a  sting quartet that can be a trio if money is tight.  Hey, if money is really tight you can always hire one of them, get a ladder and have fiddler on the roof!

http://www.californiaexcitement.com  - This is going to be a great website!  Got family in from out of town, and wondering what you can do with them?  Simply check this place out.

An arbitrary list of useful sites and people. Most of these are either resources for equipment & technical information, or provide links to additional places worth a visit.

A word about FAQs: I deliberately didn't build a list of FAQs either for equipment or for techniques. There are simply too many individual web sites. Among the sites I listed below are several with links to FAQs. Please use the links here to explore and build your own list of useful URLs. If you need a FAQ, I'd suggest you look first at:
