What Type Of Bridal Couple Would Like This Place?

This place is ideal for a bridal couple that wants a beautiful, picturesque wedding venue with an outdoor feel for the wedding day.  Since it's located inland it may not be an ideal choice for hot summer days, but for a fall or even winter wedding this place is a good bet.   The receptions are held inside of a tent and thus your guests are somewhat shielded from the elements.   This is about as good as you can do and while still maintaining   the outdoor feeling of the venue and immersing yourself in the beauty of what is the wine country of North San Diego.   An outdoor venue isn't for every bride, but if it can work for you, and North San Diego can work for you as well, be sure to check this place out!

Photographic Potential

Most of the wineries fall into the same category of photographic potential, that being very high.  This place has some interesting architecture and of course beautiful greenery.    The wedding ceremony site is stunning, and makes for some outstanding images.  The reception is inside a tent, and to be very straightforward, all tents look the same on the inside.  So the bottom line is that when you are shopping for a wedding venue and are choosing between wineries pay special attention to the outdoor locations.  What I look for is enough different backgrounds to give your images  some variety in backgrounds.

Possible Distractions/ Work Around

This place is open to the general public, though they do a good job of keeping them away for the most part.  There really isn't a large lake or anything you can use for photography that is water if you should want that.  Other than that this place is pretty much what you see is what you get, thus if it appeals to you, you will love it!

Overall Evaluation

This place is great!  The food is out of this world good!  The staff is friendly and the scenery is gorgeous.  As I mentioned before the wineries all seem to fall into the same league, they are all very nice places to host a wedding, this winery stands out for it's food.  The one thing that is kinda funny is that as far as wineries are concerned I'm not a very big wine drinker, and I especially don't drink on the job.   Therefore I have no opinion of wineries based on the wine they produce.   I just evaluate wineries based on how effective they are at hosting weddings, and Orfila gets my seal of approval.
