So, what’s the catch? We can’t possibly offer a 50 side 12”x 8” flush mount book, hand made in Italy with two replica parent albums and four gift books, nine hours of coverage, and your high resolution images for under $2000! Oh but we do! So maybe you’ll expect you’ll come meet with us and we’ll use this package as bait and switch for something larger and more expensive? Nope. We like selling this package. Maybe we’ll tell you the albums are garbage and you want something better and more expensive. Actually, these are some of the nicest albums we sell, so that won’t happen.,
The evolution steps toward the Solana Package
We’ve been offering flush mount albums since 2003. At first we offered only magazine albums and high end Italian albums. We came across one coffee table book vendor that was able to offer thick books and copies for relatively low prices. We made up a demo album set and showed it to our clients. It didn’t go over well. It looked too different as compared to our other offerings, and we just about packed it in as a huge mistake, when someone actually liked the book. They bought it, as did the next two sets of clients who showed up. It featured a nice sized bridal album and two parent albums for under $2000. It was very hit or miss with the clients, some loved it, some hated it. We were happy to offer something that helped so many people cover their bases within budget, but it was at best a compromise.
Ultimately we weren’t happy with the package, it wasn’t a good presentation of our work. We were concerned with the quality of the books, and there weren’t a lot of options for our clients. Our premium album then had some changes in the way they did business, and assembling the Solana package was suddenly doable. The previous album vendor had books that couldn’t open all the way, the Solana package bridal album not only open flat, but they actually are printed all the way through. There is no dark gutter in the middle, nor is it cut! The combination of no gutter and laying flat is something that is unique to this vendor because they hold an international patent on this technique. This company has been around for decades and has actually printed books for the Vatican. So, if it’s good enough for the number two guy in charge, it should be good enough for your wedding!

We are so very proud of this package! We can take advantage of the potential of this gorgeous book! We can put in full panoramic images that don’t stop for any reason. The look and feel of these books are something cohesive and stunning. The bridal album and parent albums are stitch bound. The binding is important because a popular technique for many books and albums is something called “Perfect Bound.” This process uses glue to bind the pages to the spine of the book. It’s popular because it’s cheap and easy to do. This process is often used for books that don’t see much use, like those thick manuals that come with computers. Over time the pages can pop out with heavy use, or deterioration of the glue. Since these pages are sewn in, they are more likely to stay together for life, just like you’ll do with your spouse! So, if you’re planning to take your marriage on the long journey ahead, you’ll need an album that will make the journey with you!’’

Hopefully you’ve picked a good best man and maid or matron of honor. By it’s very nature, the position comes with it’s own sense of abuse. In ancient times before modern plumbing these people were responsible for helping give the bride and groom a bath! Now, they go along to dress fittings, and listen to long stories about guest seating, difficult relatives, and help you pick out color themes. For guys they help plan the bachelor party and keep the groom grounded before the ceremony. You’ve relied so much on these people and they have invested themselves into your wedding, a nice small giftbook is something they will cherish as a memento. of your big day. We’ve had brides use the other gift books for relatives such as grandparent, or other special people. They are so eye catching that some keep them on a shelf at work to even keep them in their purses! Someone just mentions the word wedding and Bam! They spring into action!

In House Custom Designed/ JET Album Design
When we get together, we’ll talk all about the layouts. We actually start planning the layout of your album before your wedding. We do your layout in-house. It’s custom designed for your wedding images. We also show you the layout on our secure website as we design it. There isn’t a third party designing your layouts. You communicate directly with us via e-mail and we make the changes and update your website. Our goal is for you to have your album with 90 days of your wedding!

Yes, there is so much to talk about with this package. If you drop us a note we’ll gladly answer the questions you have. The best thing you can do is arrange for a meeting to see this package in person. One thing we certainly hope you bring along is your fiancé to the meeting. You may want to make this one of your first meetings because guys can only tolerate hearing a photographer say “The whole reason I am in business is to document your love” so many times. You won’t hear the standard catch phrases brides supposedly eat up, nor any other glowing foo foo from us. You’ll just hear that we’ve been doing this for a long time, we’ve been doing it well for a long time, we have our own style, approach, and own beliefs that we’ll tell you all about. But in the end, the work speaks for itself, and the package sells itself. We don’t hard sell you to sign a contract on the spot, nor will we hassle you on the phone. Hopefully the Solana Package becomes the standard you will use to measure other studios. it unfortunately sets the bar up very high. One of our brides got accosted by a an aggressive female photographer at a bridal show. My bride ran down the Solana Package and the photographer tried not once but on four different times to one up it, but couldn't! She just said “You’ve got a great deal, I can’t touch it!”
